Seminars - Risky Business

Datasouth and Methodware recently completed risk management seminars in Sydney and Melbourne. A focus of the seminars was the the development of risk management framework at a governance level.

We were pleased to hear from organisations - particularly in State government – whose risk environment and challenges have continued to evolve in recent years. The seminars served to observe differing views and attitudes to risk from the various sectors and interestingly, their resulting interpretation of the standards. Acquisition Risk Assessment – one of the more challenging aspects of risk management – provided for great debating moments during the series and served to demonstrate the value of disciplined, well applied risk methodology.

Datasouth Corporate Services is considering an abbreviated form of the seminar for Employees Chamber of Commerce chapters in New Zealand.

NZ Risk Society Membership Accepted

Datasouth Corporate Services has been accepted as an associate member of the New Zealand Society for Risk Management. Established in 2000, the society encourages the development of best practice in risk management and brings together organisations involved in all aspects of risk management.
